Adobe® Acrobat® Connect™ Pro is a web conferencing software created by Adobe®. Adobe is a company that makes a number of name products including Adobe Reader®, Adobe Flash®, and Adobe Photoshop® to name a few. These are promoted through its website at http://www.adobe.com.  The company is headquartered in  San Jose, California and founded in 1982. Its founders Chuck Geschke and John Warnock helped transform it into a company grossing over 3.5 billion dollars in 2008 alone. The current CEO is Shantanu Narayen and the two founders are on the board of directors.

Product Description 

 

This product provides a complete web conferencing option where you can share presentations and multimedia which can be viewed from any web browser.  One feature is heightened security through a 128 bit SSL which allows you to discuss private company information securely.  The system works on a variety of operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris.  Meetings can also be recorded and downloaded which is a nice feature that allows you to view the meetings at any time.  There is also another feature called breakout rooms where you can create independent meetings of the main meeting.  The host of the meeting can actually enter all these breakout rooms if the need arises.  Instant messaging services can be used in conjunction with this service.  This allows the hosts to see the list of invitees and their present status.   

 

One way Acrobat Connect Pro is used is for Elearning.  This can be helpful for businesses in providing training classes for employees or to give compliance information and presentations to staff. 

 

Still, another option is to use this software for web seminars.  This software allows your marketing and sales staff to build better relationships with customers that can result in more sales.  This is done through web seminars where your products or services can be discussed.  This can help increase your conversions and click through rates for email marketing campaigns and it can also allow you to deliver high quality presentations to your customers.

As someone has used a number of other web meeting platforms, I intimately know the struggles of getting everyone linked up on the same system and how challenging this can be.  Acrobat Connect Pro avoids these issues straight away by keying on software that almost all computers already have loaded.  This alone is a brilliant move that saves so much time and energy.  This is especially a benefit with external customers who are going to have less patience for waiting for putting in add-ons or plug-ins to make some other software work.   

 

In addition, the software itself allows you to use a number of basic functions like PowerPoint and Instant Messaging with a user-friendly format.  This helps save time for you to teach the system to others and allows many tech savvy people to pick up its functioning straight away.  For companies that are spread out or do a lot of interaction with customers to sell their products, this service is almost a must have item.  As evidenced by the company’s many video success stories, Acrobat Connect Pro is well received.  We fully recommend this program.
