Product Description 

GatherPlace ® promotes its main service as a low cost desktop sharing and collaboration service.  Its focus is on providing businesses with a tool to promote products and software as well as sales presentations to customers and clients without the need of IT’s help. 

The Gather Place ® service works on both Windows ® and Mac ® Computers for presenters and allows guest to view through these operating systems and Linux®.  It offers a number of basic features which are standard with most web conference companies like desktop sharing and use of various collaboration tools.  However, it also offers optional toll-free teleconferencing and private branding and integration functions.  In addition, it allows you to have locked conferences where no one else can interrupt the conference once it begins.   

The pricing of its service offer single user and shared user options.  In addition, pricing is scaled based on the maximum number of guests.  Plus, you can choose a month to month or yearly contract.

Personal Review 

This is a relatively new company that offers some nice features to customers.  I particularly like the allowance of all tools regardless of your group size.  The flexible pricing is a nice bonus and its prices are fairly competitive.   

One challenge this company has is a lack of customer comments in forums.  This may be a sign that its customer base has not yet been able to extend far enough into small and medium businesses.  This will be a good company to watch that may grow into a great option for smaller and medium-sized businesses.  However, until here about more reviews about this company, I would look elsewhere first.
